nightlife

On a balmy night along Cannes' Croisette, pistol-packing bodyguards determine who will wait and who will enter the temple-like doors of the area's hottest nightclub. On any given night, the crowd includes Monegasque royalty, yacht-hopping billionaires and the intoxicated Hollywood starlet having overindulged on the champagne bong. The club features an indoor-outdoor environment with minimalist décor and Asian-theme den of oversize loungers, tiki-lamps and illuminated statuary. An outdoor palm court features white canopies and VIP tents conducive to secret activity and the occasional midnight romp. A lackluster restaurant area doubles as a lounge during winter months, serving-up better than expected bar food like terrine of foie gras and smoked salmon. Music is a an electronic tribute to hip-hop and pop culture led by cult DJs like Jack E of St Tropez's Caves du Roy.

Tips

If staying at one of the area’s swankier hotels, like the Martinez or Hotel du Cap, try to have the concierge get you on the list for the VIP Room. Otherwise expect to pay around $1000 for VIP bottle service at the door.

Last Word

The only worth dance scene in Cannes, lavish disco-theme lounge offers hip-hop and electronica party for French elite.
